Communications Specialist
In this role, you will play a key role in both initiating and supporting communication activities across multiple lines of businessYou will work as part of a team, as well as independently with minimal supervision using strong judgment and discretion, in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environmentFurther, you will collaborate with colleagues across the organization to identify and develop new content to meet goals using video, audio, still imagery, and textYou will also maintain editorial quality, design, and production standards, as well as values, messaging, and style consistent with brand guidelines for all communications, including print, web, email, video, audio, and webinar formatsConducting research on target audiences and developing and implementing strategic work plans tailored to reach and engage these groups is part of your roleYou will develop, maintain, and execute project work plans, including coordinating with outside expertise and resources, as neededCreate and update content on intranet site using web content management system (SharePoint)Further, you will support the team’s ability to measure impact and progress against goals for reports and strategy development; tracking and analyzing metrics; collecting and drafting stories of impact; distilling lessons learned from what's being done to inform future iterationsDevelop compelling story angles for external and internal consumption and engage employees while increasing their understanding of and role in achieving business objectivesEstablish and maintain procedures and processes to ensure that communication activities are carried out in a consistent and efficient manner in accordance with company commitments and corporate standardsYou will drive internal brand recognition and reputation management through multiple communication tools, as well you will work to ensure the tone and manner of all communication materials are consistent with and reinforce the Company’s culture and brandIn this role, you will also maintain close relationships with functional business teams to determine appropriate planning and decision making; as well as plan and prepare written and visual communications and disseminate information using print media, speeches, scripts, digital, intranet and internet sitesUnderstand department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areasAssess opportunities to develop communication plans that support the business unit and/or departments strategic initiatives and objectivesYou will plan, prepare and disseminate information concerning the company and/or business unit Evaluate the impact and effectiveness of communication materials and programs and provide recommendations to management on new/revised programsYou will also support the organization's corporate giving, volunteer programs and associated events
