The Full Time Communications Specialist will play a crucial role in amplifying our strategic business initiatives through diverse communication channels. This position is key to fostering organizational growth and strengthening connections with both our internal and external stakeholders. Working closely with the Training Team and company leaders, this individual will craft compelling communication campaigns that inform, engage, and inspire, all while embodying our employment and corporate brand.

Duties

Create and implement strategic communication plans for key business initiatives and other projectsIdentify, write, review, and edit content to ensure compliance with established brand and style guidelinesUpdate and maintain oversight of an annual content and project calendar, ensuring timely execution and follow up communications for all projectsSupport the change management process by communicating to build awareness, foster understanding, and result in associates taking the desired action for key initiativesSupport initiatives that require communications for sensitive topics and/or topics that are highly confidential in natureDevelop content to be shared across internal and external communications channelsManage and produce company newsletterProvide strategic communications counsel to stakeholders across the companySupport the department’s editorial processAnalyze and measure the effectiveness of communications to demonstrate return on investment (ROI)Coordinate with external communications team as needed to execute integrated communicationsPerform other duties as required and/or assigned by the Training Director

Qualifications

Associate degree preferred, or equivalent in a related area such as journalism, communications, public relations, or integrated communications2-5 years of experience working in a related field, preferably in a corporate communications or public relations agency environment with constituents in multiple locationsExperience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, etc.)Understands professional communication standards, including writing style guides and corporate communication best practicesRetail and/or consumer technology industry experience is a plusSuperior writing and editing skillsAble to take initiative to help push internal communication tools to the next level of effectivenessAbility to lead and guide the work of others, including people who work in other departmentsAbility to adapt at dealing with ambiguous situationsStrong project management skills and self-starter who can work independentlyExperience in and knowledge of content management systemsHands-on development of content strategy and executionMedia relations experience, including pitching storiesProficient in social media content and monitoringExperience executing video and other technology in innovative waysUtmost attention to detail and excellent organizational skillsAbility to simultaneously balance multiple projects with competing priorities while working in a deadline-driven environmentCreativity and innovation competenciesProven team player with interpersonal skillsProficiency in SharePoint and the entire Microsoft Office Suite

Physical Requirements
