Job Location: Monday-Friday - Onsite - Altamonte Springs, FL

The role you’ll contribute:

This position is responsible for a wide variety of communication needs including writing, editing, data analysis, and coordinating and updating communication collaterals for various strategic initiatives and client requests. This position will help to foster and improve messaging and communication for initiatives while maintaining positive relationships with the project leaders. This person will also be an active member at Communication Department events and will continually seek opportunities to provide value to the Corporate department

• Support the communication needs of organizational strategic initiatives and client requests through effective writing, planning, coordination, design and execution, monitoring project deadlines for consistent delivery

• Create materials to advance strategic initiatives while following AdventHealth brand standards and policies, keeping key messages consistent and standardized, escalating risks to supervisor and department leaders as appropriate

• Write clearly and informatively, edit work for spelling and grammar, adapt writing style to meet need

• Execute communication audits as needed to contribute to approach and timeline for utilizing communication partners

• Coordinate distribution of newsletters to Adventist Health partners in stakeholder media

• Develop materials to support go-lives as needed, monitoring execution and distribution to ensure accuracy and delivery to end-users

• Develop post implementation communication related to mass audience changes.

• Gather and analyze information skillfully and resolve problems in early stages with minimal supervision

• Work closely with supervisor to support communication requests

• Complete tasks in a proactive manner, actively seeking ways to produce high quality, efficient work. Responds promptly to assignments and tasks as requested and keeps commitments to deadlines

• Display original thinking, seeks increased responsibilities, demonstrate willingness to make sound and accurate decisions

• Assist with various corporate events as deemed necessary

• Perform special assignments as requested by supervisor

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Strong writing and editorial skills required.

• Working knowledge of graphic design principles

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), flexibility and adaptability to change a must.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365

• Intranet

• Moderate travel required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelors' - Four-year college degree in communication, organizational readiness, or business management.

• Minimum two years' experience in writing in a technical, healthcare or business environment.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

• Understanding of Photoshop

EXAMPLES OF SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS:

• Writing and editing original stories for Stakeholder media

• Working with Stakeholder Communications Manager to develop annual editorial calendar

• Creating quarterly media reports to track story placements and related metrics

• Manage and periodically update media list

• Serve as a beat reporter and provide biweekly updates

• Identify stories across the system that align with Stakeholder media interest

• Support presentation of updates and projects through deck development

• Provide project management support for key stakeholder activations

• Attend key events to set-up and staff booth, engage with participants

• Deliver presentations at key meetings

• Assist in processing invoices

• Support the Stakeholder consumer research process
