Responsibilities The Communications Specialist supports the Sponsor’s initiative to create a marketing strategy and organizational brand that better communicates the service offerings across the IC. The Communications Specialist also supports a Sponsor led Customer Engagement Team (CET) focusing on formalizing customer outreach and communication, identifying growth opportunities, and assessing department impact. Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Recommend activities to promote department vision, mission, core values, strategic goals, and objectives based on workforce knowledge, behavior, and organizational goals Develop a Customer Engagement Strategy that includes development, and implementation of a communication plan. Monitor communication activities including digital content. Work with functional teams to ensure content is accurate and timely. Draft articles and compile, review, and edit weekly highlights that communicate department accomplishments, and/or initiatives to stakeholders. Collate and draft news and information to be shared via internal and external websites. Prepare, edit, and/or enhance various types of directives and documentation such as presentation briefings, meeting minutes, emails, online content, announcements, reports, publications/articles, policy or instructional documents, brochures, newsletters, and more. Qualifications Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph A bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, computer science, computer information systems, or computer engineering Eight (8) to Ten (10) years of relevant experience Three (3) years of technical writing experience Strong interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships High level of creativity and strategic thinking, with the ability to develop innovative communication solutions Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, with attention to detail and accuracy Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Strong organizational and project management skills Capability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Ability to handle confidential information with utmost integrity and discretion Adeptness to work under pressure and handle crisis communication Equal Pay Act This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
