Job Summary
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot local area networks, voice and data endpoints, cabling plants and communication rooms, analyze and fix network-related problems reported by users.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
+ Activates network and telephone jacks, configuring network switches and analog voice gateways as needed.
+ Provides tier two support for network, telephony, and IP video infrastructures, which includes monitoring, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance.
+ Performs moves, adds, and changes of communication endpoints utilizing work order support system.
+ Assists network/telephony administrators and engineers in resolving complex voice and data communications issues within the enterprise network.
+ Maintains documentation of network and telephone jacks, endpoints, e911 locations, and inside and outside cable plants.
+ Maintains and increases technical knowledge through coursework, workshops, seminars, readings, and cross training with other team members. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of college or vocational/technical school in Information Technology, Computer Communications, or a related field and two years related experience. Directly related experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis. Valid driver’s license required for traveling to offices located off the main campus.

+ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
+ Strong problem solving and analytical skills
+ Knowledge of network management tools and hardware configuration software
+ Microsoft Office 365
+ Strong organizational skills
+ Knowledge of the standard desktop operating systems
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or IT related field.
Active Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
