Salary: $18/hour

Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who has a passion for community and is willing to engage with community members and other organizations. This position would best be suited for someone who is:

Displays the ability to effectively engage community membersAbility to articulate theories and practices that resonant with the funding partner; i.e. Equity, 2 Gen, etc.Comfortability presenting at monthly partnership meetingWorks collaboratively with teamsAbility to participate in training opportunities and provide feedback/summary of said trainingAbility to do community canvassing in their own communities and other North Shore communitiesPossesses multicultural competence and displays sensitivityHas a flexible schedule (weekends and some evenings required).

Position Description:

Attend community outreach events to share resources for children and families.Support in co-designing activities and workshops to support the needs of the community.Attend and engage in community and city agency meetings as representatives of SICP and to be the voices of positive change for the multi-generational families in the community.Maintain a good rapport and relationship with community members and stakeholders.Possess the ability to multitask and speak publicly about the efforts of the partnership.Provide referrals to community members to programs and opportunities.Assist in identifying emerging community issues to help guide the communities response.Be able to lift 50-75 lbs.Assist in the overseeing of community ambassadors.

Regular and punctual time and attendance, and adherence to The Foundling’s and your department’s specific time and attendance policies and protocol.Consistent demonstrated commitment to The Foundling’s BHAG, mission, vision and values (Compassion, Dignity, Family and Community, Diversity, Excellence).Adherence to The Foundling’s employee policies, Code of Conduct and applicable rules, laws, regulations or bargaining agreements.[If applicable:] Appropriate engagement with support departments to ensure appropriate and timely hiring, performance management, investigation, discipline, suspension, and restructuring decisions concerning direct reports. Regular supervision and performance evaluation of direct reports.All other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or EquivalentA strong, active member of the North Shore communityHas a flexible schedule (weekends and some evenings required).
