\n \n Job Description
The Community Manager is responsible for providing the overall supervision of a community association. The Community Manager interacts with internal and external customers including homeowners, vendors, board members and committee members. The preferred candidate will be responsible for implementing the decisions of the Board of Directors in running the day-to-day operations of the association. He/She must have a good understanding of the principles of human resources, contracting, accounting, psychology, insurance, education, government relations, Board management, construction, and law. THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN ELGIN, SC.
\n\nDuties include but not limited to:
\n\nSupervise the operation and administration of the Association in accordance with management agreement and the Association's policies and procedures.\nActs as or oversee the primary liaison with the Association Board of Directors and homeowners as needed.\nPerform/Direct administrative and management duties as requested by the Board of Directors and in accordance with the management agreement.\nEnsure community management tools are being effectively developed and utilized such as annual calendar, action item list, resolution worksheets, timed agendas, RFP matrixes, committee charters, procurement procedures, FY operating budget, etc.\nReview monthly financial reports and ensure management summary is submitted to the association Board of Directors.\nProvide and/or oversee recommendations to the Association Board of Directors and committees regarding major capital expenditures as required to maintain the desired community appearance and operation.\nMonitor corporate and client delinquency rates and collections process for account portfolio.\nAttend Board meetings per the management agreement as well as committee meetings and community events as needed.\nPrepare Board packages according to established time frames.\nEnsure Board of Directors is aware of legal actions involving the Association.\nMaintain unit and contract files relating to the operations of the Association.\nAssist Board of Directors/ARB with architectural review process and/or routine inspections as necessary.\nResponsible for maintenance of C3 data base, including updating resident information.\nResponsible for routine and special project vendor management including procurement as well as performance evaluation as contracted.\nResponsible for oversight of staff as contract provides.\nCoordinate and/or oversee inspection of building facilities and/or common area and arrange appropriate follow up actions as required.\nOversee the AP process in accordance with home office processes and procedures.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n RequirementsRequirements:
\n\nProven working experience with Homeowner Associations and/or Property Owner Associations\nAdvanced Knowledge of insurance with regards to HOA’s and/or POAs\nExcellent organizational, time management and leadership skills\nExcellent communication skills\nStrong attention to detail and confidentiality\nAdvanced computer skills on MS Office and database software\nPCAM is preferred; please do not apply if you do not have the an AMS designation\nAt least five years experience as an HOA/POA manager\nMust be able to pass background check and drug testing\nReliable transportation is a must\n\n\nPhysical Requirements:
\nMust be able to sit (for long periods of time), stand (for long periods of time), walk, kneel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, crawl, talk, hear, push, pull, grasp, use hands and fingers, have clear vision and lift up to 25 pounds.
