Community-Base Crisis Respite Staff
We have two (2) positions with the following hours: Wed-Sat 10 hrs./ day, including evenings Sun-Wed 10 hrs./ day including evenings   Purpose: As our Community-Base Crisis Respite team member you will provide short-term supportive services to kids and adults who have experienced a behavioral health crisis in the their home and in the community, providing one on one support to those 5 yrs. old and up and providing respite for caregivers. Our service is intended to provide emotional respite to caregivers and relief from the stresses of caring for the individual, as well as additional coaching for the client. Job Summary: You will support the individual to utilize skills that focus on coping with crisis, managing emotions, improving relationships, and maintaining daily routine and activities of daily living. You will also support caregivers to help identify and connect to community resources.   Essential Job Responsibilities: Build professional relationships with clients and caregivers to assist them in identifying, developing, and practicing skills for crisis management. Assist in the development of health goals in an individualized, person-centered service plan. Medication administration is part of the position Assist clients in obtaining services that support the respite client’s behavioral health needs by providing community resources that may be useful. Help youth and families develop and utilize natural supports. Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed, utilizing trauma-informed and person-centered approaches. Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely documentation per clinical and administrative policies and procedures. Promote, support, and demonstrate MHP’s mission, vision, and values through behavior, job performance and adherence to policies, procedures, and standards. Participate in the development and improvement of programs and business processes.
