The Position: The Community Care Associate is responsible for managing administrative tasks for multiple communities. You will be responsible for the application process, initial lease agreement management, move-in monitoring, move-out monitoring and current resident delinquency, and eviction process. The Community Care Associate will successfully partner with the onsite community management and staff for cross collaboration to ensure future, current, and former residents have a positive experience.
Responsibilities Administer full cycle application review, approval/denial, lease generation and collection of the applications for designated set of communities. Verify application identification checks as neededResponsible for collecting and validating additional resident information to create the lease agreement and gathering resident signatures within required timelineNotify the future resident of receipt/approval of the application, prepare resident move-in paperwork, ensure the new resident signs all necessary paperwork (leases, addenda, notices, etc.) and pays move in prorateMonitor and support move-in requirements, verify compliance with mandatory renters’ insurance as per company policy, pet information is loaded (if applicable) before move inMonitor and support move-out requirements and gather forwarding address prior to move outEstablish rapport and collaborate with the onsite staff to create smooth transition during the application approval, lease signing, and hand off processMonitor delinquency, create late letters, collect on current resident delinquency, and manage eviction processManage inbound and outbound calls, emails, and support tickets in a timely manner to support customers and onsite associatesProvide superior customer service to internal and external customers to ensure the experience is effortless and seamlessResearch and prepare reports, memos, letters, and other documents using email, spreadsheet, database, or software systems as neededPartner with the IT, System Support, and other corporate partners on building systems and processes that drive efficiencyPerform other duties as assigned or as necessary QualificationsEducation & Experience:
Two years’ experience as an Assistant Manager or higherKnowledge of Yardi & RealPage preferredKnowledge of Outlook, Word & Excel requiredAbility to apply policies and procedures to solve everyday issues. Knowledge of basic office practices and proceduresAbility to effectively present information to applicants or current residentsKnowledge of basic accounting/bookkeeping practices, office practices and proceduresMust be detail orientated. Possess a high degree of time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials. Polished interpersonal skillsAbility to establish priorities and coordinate work activitiesAbility to work in conjunction with site teams, applicants, residents, and other corporate partnersMust be skilled in word processing and drafting correspondencesMust demonstrate excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and decision-making skillsAbility to perform a variety of support assignments requiring some exercise of independent judgmentPhysical Requirements:
May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to read documents, computer screens and dataMust be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computerMay occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 poundsMust be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipmentWork Environment:
