Position Description:
Lead development and implementation of programs and initiatives in alignment with business unit goals and Community and Citizenship strategic pillars.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:

 Knowledgeable and comprehend business unit (BU) goals and Community and Citizenship (C&C) strategic pillars to lead development and implementation of C&C programs and initiatives.Understand sensitivity and uniqueness of projects, communities, and Underrepresented Business Enterprises (UBE).In partnership with Procurement Department:Lead UBE programs to achieve established goals.Understand utilization metrics to assist in identification of gaps and possible solutions.Share knowledge of certified UBEs to provide advice on potential bidding opportunities.Build relationships with local, community, Federal, State, and City organizations that support and promote UBE advancement, diversity, and inclusion.Implement outreach events to foster relationships with UBEs in various capacities.Develop various programs and initiatives in support of C&C strategic pillars.Establish partnerships with educational institutions, after school programs, and other related agencies to facilitate
educational programs to generate future opportunities within construction industry.Identify targeted opportunities for community partnerships and develop service initiatives.Utilize research on local, social and economic issues and trends to assess impact of service initiatives within community.In partnership with Business Development, provide C&C specific content in support of sales pursuits.Promote employee involvement in C&C initiatives, reinforce positive culture and foster connectivity of Turner employees.
Ensure staff are recognized for community service participation.Contribute new ideas to support continuous improvement in overall effectiveness of C&C team.Apply basic lean concepts and practices to work efficiently, enhance programs, coordinate and reduce waste, (e.g. PDCA, Kanban, A3 problem solving, and Story Boarding).Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
