**The role you’ll contribute:**
The Advance Practice Registered Nurse and/or the Nurse Practitioner in the Community Clinic realm has the responsibility for assessment and management of patients’ day to day implementation and evaluation of the appropriate plan of care, ensuring all essential elements of the discharge plan / process are met. The APRN employee works in collaboration with the medical, nursing and support services to provide patient and family focused care.
**The value you’ll bring to the team:**
· Responsible for providing care for patients within scope of licensure and as outlined in AdventHealth Waterman Protocols.
· Responsible for performing physical examinations of patients, take medical histories, maintain patient records, identify health risk factors, prescribe medications, make referrals and otherwise treat health conditions.
· Manages patients, evaluates changes in patient status, obtains consultations, and interprets tests and X-rays with the assistance of physicians as necessary.
· Responsible for ordering imaging, procedures, equipment, lab work and medications in collaboration with medical director.
· Responsible for interpreting appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, x-ray, etc. in collaboration with medical director.
· Monitors the patient’s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed/available.
**The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed** **:**
+ **Minimum qualifications** :
§ MSN (Masters of Nursing)
§ Provides direct care with licensing credentials under the auspices of supervising physician.
§ If practicing in the scope of an APRN, must have current licensure in the state of Florida as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
§ ACLS/BLS certification.
