The mission of A Bolder Way Forward (BWF), an initiative of the Utah Women & Leadership Project (UWLP), is to make Utah a place where more girls and women can thrive in any setting. The Community Collaborations Coordinator serves a critical role in fostering collaboration on events between UWLP, BWF, and other communities, organizations, and initiatives. With a systems thinking approach, this person will serve as a critical connector and be a representative of the larger mission and system of BWF. This role requires a strong team player who demonstrates a passion for connecting and networking in the community. Must have strong interpersonal relationship skills, excellent organization and tracking abilities, and problem-solving skills. The ability to work independently with adeptness at motivating others to support and join the work of BWF is key to success in this role. This position is telework eligible within the state of Utah.
Responsibilities Outreach Strategy – 60%Develop and implement community collaboration processes.Track partner events and primary contacts, ensure materials are provided for marketing, and connect existing BWF groups and partner/community events.Work with existing partners to amplify and connect their events to have a BWF presence.Initiate and execute outreach strategies to engage and build relationships with various community organizations.Collaborate with UWLP staff to support individual program outreach goals.Report on deliverables and outcomes of collaborative efforts.Community Engagement – 40%Distribute outreach and engagement materials, including flyers, brochures, and research.Develop and maintain professional and positive working relationships with partner event contacts to build awareness of BWF and encourage collaboration.Fill-in, as needed, when other UWLP team members, spoke representatives, or county coalition members cannot attend an event where UWLP/BWF needs a presence. QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
An associate’s degree or higher in any field and at least two years’ experience in a community outreach/collaboration role.Strong oral and written communication skills.Ability to organize and manage information in large spreadsheets/databases.Understanding of outreach strategies.Solid interpersonal skills, flexible and collaborative; ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, supporters, and community members.Passion to support the mission and goals of UWLP and BWF.Preferred Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree or higher and five or more years of related experience.Established connections with community-focused organizations, individuals, and professional organizations in Utah.Knowledge of and involvement in women’s efforts and groups in Utah.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of women’s groups, interests, and topics in Utah.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail along with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as be self-driven to complete tasks and meet deadlines.Solid verbal communication skills.
