This position requires the following knowledge and abilities: + Strong discipline expertise within the field of health and wellness. + Teach courses at various times and/or delivery modalities. + Design and teach courses in the approved curriculum using teaching methods that support the success of diverse students. + Assess student learning and academic achievement at classroom, department/program, and college levels. + Participate regularly in department meetings and in department responsibilities such as budgets, schedules, articulation agreements, program reviews, program assessment, curricula development, external partnerships, and staffing. + Available and willing to be actively engaged in college community. + to the college and the greater community, such as college-wide committees and external partnerships. + Participate in professional development activities. **Minimum Qualifications** Education Requirement: + Master’s degree in health or master’s degree in any field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in Health. **Preferred Qualification** + Work Experience in related field of health, public health, and nutrition. + Experience teaching undergraduates in a community college setting. + Evidence of commitment to student success and persistence. + Experience with learner outcomes assessment and evaluation. + Demonstrated ability to educate adult learners, multi-lingual learners, students with disabilities, and international students. + Experience serving diverse and historically underserved populations. + Working knowledge of alternative instructional techniques and delivery methods such as online education, education platforms (D2L Brightspace), digital technology, etc. + Experience in online teaching or demonstrated willingness to learn and develop online courses. + Exceptional team player who is willing to devote time to students and the department. **Other Requirements** Qualified applicants are required to attach the following documents to their online applications: + Cover letter of interest addressing your qualifications for this position. + Current curriculum vita or resume. + Transcripts: valid unofficial copies of your transcript showing the conferred/awarded date; your name and the academic institution’s name/logo are required. + If selected for hire, official original transcripts will be required. + Applicants with degrees from non-U.S. educational institutions or programs will need to submit a foreign credentials evaluation (FCE) as a condition of hire. **Telework (Yes/No)** No **About** Why Choose NHCC?
