**Job Summary**
The University of Utah’s Sunnyside Apartments (Family and Graduate Student Housing) is accepting applications for a Community Coordinator. This is a professional live-off position reporting to the Director of Sunnyside Apartments. The Community Coordinator will work with our graduate student or student family population to create a community where residents feel welcome, safe, and valued. This role manages administrative functions, oversees personnel, and implements programs to support the residential experience.
**Responsibilities**
Performs administrative tasks to support graduate students, students with families, and university staff living at Sunnyside apartments, including, but not limited to, managing assistance animals, coordinating fall move-in, managing community centers, overseeing programming, and managing roommate agreements and new move-in orientations.
Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate Community Assistants (CA) and part-time student employees.
Plan and implement student staff training, co-facilitate bi-monthly staff meetings, ongoing training, and functions.
Assist with various resident concerns, including, but not limited to, policy education, conflict management for roommates and neighbors, fire alarm response, wellness checks, students of concern, etc.
Work closely with the Graduate School for graduate student and Post Doc event planning and programming at Sunnyside Apartments.
Serve on university committees and/or with campus organizations, as assigned.
Participate in occupancy recruitment efforts.
Plan, prepare, and execute at least one activity per month that focuses on families or single grads.
Assist Associate Director with site-wide programming and oversee CA programming in assigned areas.
Assist the Associate Director with weekly communications with residents.
Participate in the after-hours on-call phone rotation.
Manage budget for assigned area.
Work with the Associate Director of Resident Life to conduct assessments for activities and student satisfaction.
Other duties as assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications**
Bachelor’s degree or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience).
Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills
Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
**Preferences**
Master’s degree in College Student Development, Student Affairs, Higher Education, Counseling, or related field.
