Overview

The purpose of the Community Curator will be to create welcoming and unique guest experiences.  Manage pre-arrival, on property and departure guest communication in order to provide curated experiences both on and off property.  Develop a portfolio of desirable services and offerings within the local community.   Direct and coordinate programming throughout property in collaboration with Sales/Marketing team.

Responsibilities Regularly cultivate and nurture lasting partnerships with neighborhood businesses and organizations whose services would promote and elevate the guest experienceWork closely with Sales & Marketing and food & beverage teams to help curate one-of-a-kind guest experiencesEnhance local charitable relationships and initiativesActively communicate and engage with guests at multiple touch points throughout stay-cycle to ensure hotel is successful in goal to customize/enhance their current and future staysElevate and coordinate hotel’s Amenity ProgramConduct informative training with Guest Service team on all Community Curator initiatives and updated neighborhood informationAttend daily/weekly/monthly meetings with hotel leadership to discuss departmental goals, ongoing community partnerships, etc.Participate in required MOD program as neededProvide strong lobby presence to assist front desk agents and guestProvide problem resolution when applicablePerform functions of the front desk duties and responsibilitiesMaintain inventory and purchasing needs in compliance with Highgate standardsPerform job responsibilities in accordance with organizational standards Qualifications Superior communication skills including written, verbal, email and phoneComputer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)Professional demeanorDemonstrated ability to multi-task and manage time well under pressureHigh school diploma (or equivalent); College degree preferredKnowledge of TriBeCa neighborhood preferredAbility to focus attention on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous at all timesFlexibility with schedule while understanding that hospitality is 24/7 industry and working weekends, holidays, etc. may be expectedOrganizational skills – ability to determine priority tasks and maintain strong attention to detailApproach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.Maintain high standards of personal appearance and groomingComply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operationsMaximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutionsMust be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessaryMust be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectivesMust be able to maintain confidentiality of informationPerform other duties as requested by manager

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 based on experience
