We have also received certification by The Joint Commission in collaboration with the American Stroke Association as a Primary Stroke Center. **The ro** **le you’ll contribute:** The Director of Community Engagement leads the Community Benefit and Community Engagement teams across service area. Under the leadership of the Executive Director, the Director of Community Engagement plans, develops, coordinates, and oversees the community engagement strategies. The Director of Community Engagement serves as a strategic partner and leader of the community benefit and engagement teams to drive and enhance the community health needs assessment, community health plan processes, and the community engagement strategy development. Represents AdventHealth as a community liaison, while cultivating and strengthening relationships with important stakeholders. This role works closely with teams across the system to elevate our community health improvement and community outreach strategies in alignment with AdventHealth Vision 2030. **The val** **ue you’ll bring to the team:** · Community Health Improvement Oversee all aspects of the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), including managing the Multi-Health System Collaborative, hospital CHNA committees, and primary and secondary data collection and analysis. Lead the team that developments and implements the campus-level Community Health Plans for each hospital location, monitoring and adjusting as needed in response to community needs. Direct the team responsible for tracking and reporting CHNA/CHP work to ensure compliance with AdventHealth policy and regulatory standards, thereby protecting our tax-exempt status. Participate in system-wide efforts to identify, prioritize, measure, and track mission integration goals and strategies that align with AdventHealth, including community health, health equity, social determinants of health, and economic development. Initiate and lead the development and execution of data-informed initiatives to enhance and improve the health of targeted populations as identified in the CHNA and other sources. Supervise the team responsible for all aspects of community benefit reporting (cash & in-kind) in CBISA software as required by corporate policy and IRS regulatory guidelines and seek to continually improve this process. Coordinates monthly with campus and division finance teams to ensure all Community Benefit reporting is accurately reflected in the financial reports. Like all members of the team, develops and maintains current knowledge community benefit principles and practices while informing / educating appropriate leadership of current trends. · Community Engagement Develop strategies and sets priorities for advancing community engagement initiatives for AdventHealth. Ensure that AdventHealth is represented favorably in the community by working with members of the public and strategic community groups on projects that advance the community health objectives of the health system. Develop and enhance relationships with external partners, including non-profit organizations, foundations, community influencers, and business leaders. Lead the team responsible for identifying and activating sponsorship opportunities for events and programs that benefit community health as defined by the Community Health Needs Assessment. Create processes to keep AdventHealth leaders informed about community work and engage them in strategic opportunities to speak, attend events, serve on boards, and be visible in their communities. Collaborate and communicate regularly with other departments involved in community relationships, such as Marketing, Foundation, Government Relations, and Mission & Ministry. Develop and implement communication strategies that will disseminate information to the public or key interest groups and organizations about AdventHealth’s strategic initiatives. Advance strategies that will promote AdventHealth leaders and physicians through speaking opportunities, partnerships, and appearances. Develops and oversees implementation of metrics tracking processes for community initiatives across our hospital facilities. · Compliance / Regulatory Responsibilities Works closely with Legal Affairs to ensure compliance is adhered to as community organizations are brought into AdventHealth without incurring potential future risk. Works closely with and Government Relations to ensure leaderships is aware of any of concerns and key industry political headwinds. Adheres to system standards for calculating social accountability, reporting of spending and efforts, and community benefit expenses · Supervisory Responsibilities Creates an effective working environment while fostering a culture of generosity and community empathy where communication, professional development, and quality are always encouraged. Effectively builds organization and staff capacity, developing a top-notch workforce and the processes that ensure the department and organization run smoothly. Leads community engagement managers in identifying health needs and developing measurable community outreach programs to report achievements and results. Qualifications **T** **he expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:** · Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (marketing, communications, business administration, public health). · 5 of experience in strategic planning, budgeting, business analysis, finance, IT systems, HR, and marketing. · Experience in consensus building and collaboration. · Prior work with executive teams, community leaders, or political representatives. · Management experience, with a strong understanding of finance, IT, marketing, and HR. · 10 of professional experience in government, marketing, public health, public relations or administration. · Proven history of exceeding goals and a bottom-line focus.
