This Full-Time position is 5 days a_ _week and_ _is hybrid based out of our_ _H_ _ead_ _O_ _ffice_ _(Burnaby)_ _. Applicants who are not_ _located_ _within commuting distance of our Head Office or are not looking to_ _relocate_ _to the Greater Vancouver/Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley region will not be considered. ​_ As the **Coordinator, Community Engagement and Events** at BCAA, you will play a vital role in delivering meaningful experiences that connect with our Members, employees, and communities across British Columbia. Reporting to the Manager, Sponsorship & Events, you will support the planning and execution of community activations, sponsorships, and events that bring BCAA’s purpose to life. From large-scale sponsorship activations to grassroots community initiatives, your work will help strengthen BCAA’s presence while fostering trust, connection, and long-lasting impact. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy bringing people together, and want to make a tangible difference in local communities, we’d love to hear from you! **Who you are:** + You are highly organized and skilled at managing multiple tasks, ensuring events run smoothly and efficiently. + You are a team player, comfortable collaborating across departments and with external partners. + You have a passion for community engagement and events, understanding how activations connect with audiences and drive impact. + You are a strong communicator, able to provide clear direction, coordinate logistics, and maintain stakeholder relationships. + You thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing priorities while keeping a keen eye on details. **What** **you’ll** **do:** + Coordinate the planning and execution of BCAA’s sponsorships, activations, and community engagement events. + Work closely with internal teams to align event strategies with BCAA’s purpose, business goals, and brand pillars. + Oversee event logistics, including registration, venue booking, vendor management, and participant engagement. + Provide onsite event support, assisting with setup, teardown, and event operations. + Research and maintain an inventory of venues, vendors, and event resources to ensure seamless execution. + Assist in the development of creative event concepts that align with BCAA’s business, social, and environmental objectives. + Review sponsorship and event proposals, summarizing key details to assess alignment with corporate priorities. + Maintain event documentation, including workback schedules, run-of-play documents, and budget tracking. + Coordinate promotional materials, signage, and giveaways, ensuring cost-effective and sustainable sourcing. + Provide administrative support, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and content sharing across internal platforms. **What you bring** **:** + Diploma or Certificate in Marketing, Events, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. + 3-5 years of experience in events, program coordination, or project management. + Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and adapt in real-time. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders. + Experience managing event logistics, vendor coordination, and participant engagement. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). + Flexibility to travel and work outside of standard business hours (evenings and weekends) for events. + Valid BC Driver’s License, with the ability to travel throughout the province as required. **Internal Applicants:** Please note that the internal posting closes on **February** **10** **th** **, 2025** **,** and the role is a **Grade** **8** position. The salary range for this position is $54,957.00 to $68,696.16 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity.
