**Job Summary**
Community Engagement Senior Manager serves as a key point of contact between Diode and local communities in development initiatives. This role involves facilitating communication, gathering community feedback, and ensuring the alignment of community interests with organizational goals. This person will work closely with project managers, local leaders, and stakeholders to foster positive relationships and ensure that development projects are community-informed and inclusive.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Develop strategy for immediate term and long-term external stakeholder, community engagement for existing projects. This strategy includes:
+ Community Outreach: Conduct outreach activities to engage community members and stakeholders, including meetings, focus groups, surveys, and events. Build trust and maintain positive relationships with residents, community organizations, and leaders.
+ Communication & Feedback: Serve as the primary point of contact for community members to voice concerns or provide feedback about ongoing development projects. Regularly update the community on project progress, goals, and impacts. Collect and synthesize feedback to inform decision-making and project adjustments.
+ Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that community interests are considered in the planning and implementation of development projects. Help navigate community concerns and assist with resolving conflicts between stakeholders and project teams.
+ Cultural Sensitivity: Ensure that all community engagement activities are culturally appropriate and inclusive. Promote diversity and ensure equitable participation from underrepresented groups.
+ Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of community interactions, feedback, and outcomes. Provide regular reports on engagement activities and community sentiments to management
+ Build and maintain durable political and economic development relationships
+ Create educational programming
+ Shape a positive narrative for data center development and Diode integration into communities;
+ Establish and track KPIs based on fiscal value unlocked and time saved through relationships/negotiations (e.g. condensed permitting timelines, etc.);
+ Identify out-sourced activities and budget lines that can be covered under new community engagement function and establish budget for high-value local engagement (PR materials, tax structure analysis, economic impact studies)
+ Support and represent the company in AHJ project presentations, public processes, or other government-related sessions;
+ Effectively communicate the scope and benefits of investments to external stakeholders at all levels, disciplines, and via varied modalities;
+ Communicate project status, challenges, and wins to executive leadership;
+ Establish cross-functional communication with other verticals within the company for strategic and tactical alignment;
+ Support regional project managers;
+ Help solve for blockers in regulatory and government processes at the community-level.

**Preferred Qualifications**
+ 3+ years of public policy or economic development experience
+ Experience with community engagement strategy development and execution
+ Experience with strategic executive level communication
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ 7 year’s of total work experience
+ Bachelor’s Degree
+ 3 years of economic development or community relations experience
