Volunteers of America (VOA) is a faith-based, nationwide nonprofit organization dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential. VOA is seeking a passionate and motivated Community Health Innovation Intern to join the Strategy and Innovation team! The selected candidate will play a key role in a dynamic project that aims to document and celebrate the incredible community health innovations happening across VOA. This work is crucial to sharing best practices, inspiring other affiliates and demonstrating impact to funders.
This position extends the opportunity for full-time hours (up to 40 hours per week)
as well as On-Site, Hybrid and Remote work schedules
The internship is unpaid, however, a stipend is provided
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct research and interviews to create compelling profiles of innovative community health programs taking place across the organization Develop engaging content (blog posts, social media updates, etc.) to share program successes Analyze publicly available community health data and assessments to provide context and demonstrate impactRequired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Interest in community/public health and making a difference Experience with basic on line research of public health issues Commitment to inclusive and collaborative team culture Strong written, interpersonal and communication skills Ability to prioritize, multi-task, stay organized and meet deadlineQualifications:

Education and Experience:
Applicants studying Community Health, Public Health, Business, Innovation - or related fields - are encouraged to apply Currently enrolled in - or recently completed - a Bachelor’s degree program
