The selected candidate will perform the following duties along with other duties as assigned: + Establishes and maintains community liaison and promotes department programs among various community groups. Entertains suggestions from civic groups and appraises management of issues, concerns and needs. + Oversee day-to-day activities of the Adoption Program. + Review and approve esplanade adoption applications, ensuring they meet all necessary criteria and guidelines. + Conduct site visits to assess the condition of adopted esplanades and identify any potential issues or concerns. + Provide guidance to esplanade adopters on best practices for maintenance, landscaping, and irrigation. + Assist Greenspace Management with 3-1-1concerns regarding the maintenance of adopted esplanades. + Maintain a database of adopted esplanades, including contact information for adopters and maintenance records. + Participate in community events to promote Adoption Program, maintain relationships with HOA’s, civic associations, council districts and management districts. + Work closely with Greenspace Management team to ensure compliance with adoption agreements. + Perform other special projects as directed. WORKING CONDITIONS The position is physically comfortable, the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc. There are no major sources of discomfort, i.e., essentially normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature and air conditions. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Requires a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration or a closely related field. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Two years of experience in developing and coordinating community programs or a closely related field are required.
