Responsibilities REPORTS TO: Director of Business Development POSITION PURPOSE: To secure appropriate Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse patient referrals to the hospital through effective marketing and business development. Develop and educate direct referral relationships in designated city-wide, state-wide or regional area markets. Provide education of the clinical criteria and administration process to help generate desired utilization of the facility's continuum of care and allow the facility management access to the needs of the community. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement strategic referral account management plans that support the facility clinical resources. Support and emulate high customer service standards internally and externally. Participate in clinical orientation to units and/or programs and stay abreast of service changes that may be important to facility customer base. Participate in the facility community education development meetings. Adhere to the account management plan and complete duties assigned therein. Establish consistent contact with potential referral sources. Maintain documentation associated with account management activities. Develop community education & awareness of mental health resources. Assist the Director of Business Development and other team members in carrying out assigned activities. Obtain and provide facility management with up to date information about changes in the market and the competition. Develop & participate in educational forums internally and externally. Participate in outreach educational organizations within designated areas. Identify and develop new referral sources. Provide feedback from referral sources and help to identify new revenue generating programming. Provide education and awareness of clinical services provided by Laurel Ridge Treatment Center & administrative criteria to all referral sources. Accountable for all unsupervised time in the field, with written documentation of daily visits. Be able to manage a Specialty Program as assigned in addition to the assigned territory Other duties as assigned Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Good verbal and written skills. Completion of a sales training program preferred. Skills in public speaking and problem solution. Excellent customer service skills. Healthcare sales/marketing experience. Behavioral Health experience preferred. EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Marketing/Public Relations/ Counseling or a social science related field or appropriate years of direct relevant experience in lieu of a degree. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Valid driver’s license. EXPERIENCE: 3+ years of healthcare marketing/sales or sales experience in a related field showing a history of increased positive growth within an assigned territory. Psychiatric health care marketing experience preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Must be able to key at a computer. * Must be able to review reports containing data with small print. * Must be able to read and write proficiently in English. * Must be able to speak clearly. * Hearing and vision sufficient to perform the essential job functions. * Must be able to travel by car and airplane, sitting for long periods of time. * Must be able to occasionally life 30 pounds and carry small objects.
