Community Living Director - Social Services Administration
Center for Humanistic Change of New Jersey, Inc. ( CHCNJ ), is a private, non-profit social services agency that operates group homes for adults with developmental disabilities in four New Jersey counties. CHCNJ is seeking a person with experience in the field of social services, specifically in community-based residential services, to fill the position of Community Living Director. This is a middle management, hands-on position that is responsible for direct supervision of designated group home managers, as well as direct care and program coverage as needed in the absence of the program manager. Some of the responsibilities of the Community Living Director include: + Promotion and implementation of CHCNJ philosophy + Recruitment, hiring, training and direct supervision of House Managers in designated programs + Coordination of the hiring process for direct care staff in designated programs + Regular visits to designated programs to ensure that programs operate up to the standards of CHCNJ, state and local regulations + To ensure the continuation of quality care in the absence of the House Manager in designated programs + Participation in quality improvement meetings, tasks and reviews + Agency after-hours on call responsibility. Minimum requirements for employment at CHCNJ: + 18 Years of Age + High School Diploma/GED + Basic Computer Skills + Valid Driver’s License + Acceptable Driving Record + COVID vaccination and booster Qualifications for the Community Living Director position include: + A minimum of two years supervisory or administrative experience + A degree in Human Services or a related field + Appropriately related background and knowledge of community-based care associated with adults with developmental disabilities.
