Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Community Mortgage Loan Officer to join our team in Kansas City. This role offers a unique opportunity to help customers achieve homeownership, refinance, save on interest rates, and access home equity for debt consolidation or home improvements. You will provide expert mortgage advice to customers in LMI and minority communities, build business by connecting with community partners, and lead financial education workshops.
Responsibilities:Provide expert mortgage advice to customers in LMI and minority communitiesBuild business by connecting with community partners like realtors, financial services, nonprofits, government agencies, and local organizationsLead financial education workshops and participate in community events to promote homeownership opportunitiesOriginate and close mortgage loans, ensuring compliance and meeting sales goalsCollaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth loan processing Qualifications and Requirements:Established community ties and experience in outreach and referral partnershipsHigh school diploma or equivalentBilingual in English & SpanishStrong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skillsKnowledge of CRA, Fair Lending, and community developmentAbility to travel and engage with local partners Desired Qualifications:1+ years in mortgage origination, preferably with community-focused lendingActive Mortgage Originator with a current pipelineS.A.F.E.
