Summary:
The Community Mortgage Loan Officer drives partnerships with an emphasis on low to moderate census tracts in the community, developing strong relationships with nonprofit partnerships and local community organizations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Homebuyer EducationStrong engagement in the community with a Non-Profit focusDevelops new and expands internal and external referral sources to grow mortgage businessUsing consultative selling techniques, advises clients on mortgage loan options and other financial products.Provides excellent customer service from approval through closing, working closely with loan origination sources to secure and verify all information required for underwriting.Responsible for maintaining client relationships.Advises customers on the completion of loan applications.Performs other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GEDOne or more years of mortgage loan origination experience, preferably at a bankNMLS licensePreferred Qualifications:
Pipeline and book of businessEstablished relationships with nonprofits and local community organizations delivering homebuyer educationBachelor's degree preferredKnowledge of mortgage loan products (conventional, FHA/VA, construction lending and portfolio programs)Knowledge of mortgage procedures, documentation, and underwriting guidelinesDemonstrated ability to identify opportunities to cross-sell financial products and servicesEffective written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills Ability to multi-taskPC - Internet skill#LI-Hybrid

Compensation Range:
$24.00-$26.50 HourlyThe compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
