Community Navigator, LINKS/Counselor Assistant (CDCA) Job Description

Under the supervision of the Clinical Manager, the Community Navigator will act as a partner with the Links Incorporated, Columbus Chapter, in the fulfillment of their Project Lead High Expectations “No Thank You” Campaign, an initiative focused on opiate use prevention, education, linkage to treatment, and benefit coordination. The position would support, advocate, and connect individuals to services to meet identified needs. In addition, the Community Navigator will have a clinical role and will maintain a caseload of clients and will be tasked with providing individual and group counseling services. They will be responsible for completing assessment updates, urine drug screens, and all required documentation in a timely manner while making referrals for assessed needs and appropriate level of care. They will work with other clinicians and medical staff on the team to address client needs and promote treatment goals.

Community Navigator, LINKS/Counselor Assistant (CDCA) Requirements

Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired through the completion a bachelor’s degree in human services or behavioral science or at a minimum an associate’s degree in human services or behavioral science with some paid volunteer clinical experience or internship in the field of chemical dependency treatment, or mental health services. CDCA preferred with one (1) year experience in the field of chemical dependency. QMHS level of education/training.
