Our Community Outreach Manager is vital to support our Florida operations in establishing and maintaining positive relationships between our organization and the communities it serves.  The candidate is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing outreach programs and initiatives aimed at engaging with various stakeholders, including residents, businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies.  The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a passion for community development and advocacy.

 

Community Outreach & Business Development

Outreach Strategies & Partnerships: Develop and track outreach strategies to connect with target populations. Manage relationships with community organizations, businesses, government agencies, and other stakeholders.Event Coordination & Communication: Plan and organize community events, workshops, and activities. Communicate information through various channels (social media, newsletters, press releases).Needs Assessment & Monitoring: Conduct assessments to identify community needs and opportunities. Evaluate outreach effectiveness; adjust strategies based on data and feedback.Stay Informed & Engage: Stay updated on relevant issues and best practices. Participate in sales meetings, collaborate on sales strategies and presentations.

Supplier Diversity

Program Management: Execute Supplier Diversity programs in compliance with laws. Manage regional supplier diversity strategy with leadership.Development & Coordination: Facilitate subcontractor development programs. Organize DB events to introduce firms to leadership and coordinate diversity-related initiatives.Engagement & Support: Guide DB firms through the prequalification process. Strengthen select DB firms via mini-mentoring. Identify suitable DB firms for projects.

Community Outreach Manager Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in business development, community outreach, marketing, supplier diversity, related or equivalent experienceExperienced in written and verbal communication skillsExperienced with developing and maintaining relationships with community leaders, business leaders, and community organizationsExperienced with working with board organizations and their membersBachelor’s Degree – Business, Marketing, Communications, or similar or 8 years equivalent experience plus minimum 5 years prior relevant experience.
