ABOUT THE POSITION
VHB’s Tampa office is actively seeking a Community Planning Intern to join our Planning + Design group for Summer 2025.
Responsibilities
Prepare written planning documents, summarize information collected by others, and assemble reportsPrepare graphics, maps and diagrams to support planning projectsPrepare presentation materials for public meetings. Attend and assist with presentations and workshopsEffectively interact with numerous VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in a timely mannerParticipate in public engagement and outreach supportSkills and Attributes
Strong skillset of written and oral communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and time managementFamiliarity with basic planning principles Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently with guidanceWorking knowledge of the Microsoft Office suiteQualifications
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in urban planning, sustainability, environmental sciences, or related fieldVHB does not provide housing for internships.
