Working with the vice president of marketing and communications, executes a community relations strategy for Tidelands Health, positioning the health system as a good neighbor in the communities we serve. Manages all aspects of the health system’s Better for Life program for adults 50+, including program design and development, membership acquisition and management, member communications and member events. Manages community requests for sponsorships and donations in accordance with established policy. Participates in community events and activities, particularly those for which the health system has provided sponsorship. At the direction of the vice president of marketing, takes an active role in community organizations of strategic interest to the health system. Assists the marketing and communications team with other marketing and communications initiatives. Assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:• Minimum five (5) years of experience in a marketing or community outreach role, with direct experience managing relationships, planning and executing events and launching and overseeing outreach programs.• A history of community involvement and service with not-for-profit civic and professional organizations.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to use PC desktop applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and virtual meeting software).
• Ability to use social media (Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram) to support and promote company initiatives.
• Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
• Strong public speaking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to speak face-to-face with community members.
