We are seeking a self-motivated, confident and enthusiastic Community Event Intern to join the Priority Health Community Relations team for the summer. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning and community engagement. The intern will represent Priority Health as a brand ambassador at a variety of sponsored community events and will assist in organizing and executing campaigns, small gatherings and large festivals.
Essential FunctionsAssist in the planning and coordination of community events, including logistics, vendor management, and volunteer coordination.
Support marketing efforts by creating promotional materials, gathering content for social media, and engaging with the members and potential members.
Help with event setup and teardown, branded item distribution and ensuring all aspects run smoothly.
Coordinate materials, giveaways, and marketing of events
Conduct outreach to internal and external audiences to encourage participation and sponsorship.
Provide administrative support, including maintaining event databases, tracking expenses, and preparing reports.
Attend and contribute to team meetings, offering creative ideas and feedback.
QualificationsRequired
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program (e.g., Event Management, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations).
Dedicated to being punctual
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to plan and execute multiple events at once and switch from one task to another.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital project management systems.
Must have reliable transportation
Attendance at events is mandatory
Passion for community engagement and event planning.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
