The Community Relations intern role exists to support execution of community, environmental and education projects in a way that encourages volunteerism so that positive relationships with the local community and the employee base are enhanced. The Community Relations intern role is an integral part of the Ireland Community Relations team.
Primary Responsibilities
Apply your skills to be a key contributor in the running of Intel Ireland's signature volunteer and charity programs, namely: Intel's Matching Grants program which awards grants to schools, charities, and non-profit organizations where Intel employees volunteer their time. The grants are accrued based on the number of hours that are volunteered by Intel employees at organizations, which are registered as part of the program.
Intel Involved and Skills Based Volunteering; Every year a large percentage of our employees across Ireland volunteer their time in the communities where they live and work. In the last 5 years employees have volunteered more than 500,000 hours supporting a variety of community-based initiatives and projects.Signature Charity partnership; Each year, Intel Ireland selects a signature charity, giving employees the opportunity to dedicate their efforts towards providing volunteer time and funds, raised through specially organized activities, to those chosen organizations.Signature projects; support our projects such as Matching Grant Event, Pride of Place and Mini Scientist competition.Communication; Assist in managing Intel Ireland's internal and external digital communication channels. Activities include: Sourcing, writing, creating, editing communication content and articles that enhance Intel's reputation.Web management; Manage the process for requesting updates to Intel Ireland's external website. Manage expiration and refresh of existing online content. This aspect of the role requires attention to detail, creativity, and team working skills to engage with a variety of stakeholders.

This is an 11-month fixed-term placement suitable for students currently studying a sandwich degree course in a relevant discipline and is targeted at 3rd year students enrolled in a 4-year bachelor's degree which includes a year in industry (or equivalent). We ask that all applicants are current university students and will remain students during the whole internship. Candidates must be based in Ireland upon the start date of this internship, and for its entire duration. We are unable to support remote working from outside Ireland.
Currently undertaking a relevant undergraduate university degree or qualification in business or communications.
