Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Community Relations Representative is part of Energy Transfer’s Brand Marketing and Communications Team that manages the Partnership’s internal and external marketing and communications programs. The position reports to the Vice President of Corporate Communications will be responsible for enhancing Energy Transfer’s brand across our footprint by building strategic partnerships in communities where we have significant assets. All programs will be implemented in cooperation with our Operations and Engineering & Construction teams. Primary focus will be Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and other markets as determined by our Operations team.  

Job duties include but are not limited to supporting the Partnership’s local community engagement and donation strategies, local event support, employee volunteer programs and new project support.  

This position will require a minimum of 30 percent travel.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in public relations or marketing communications. Three (3) years Agency or Corporate Communications experience. Excellent writer and communicator. Solid understanding of AP writing style. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Self-directed with the ability to manage multiple projects at once. Execution, focus and a strong sense of urgency. Overnight Travel required.

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience  Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Usually, normal office working conditions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
