Position Summary:
Join our growing team! Origami is seeking a Community Relations Specialist , 40 hours per week , Monday-Friday, hybrid remote/onsite, to carry out activities related to community presence, marketing, social media, graphic design, advertising, and event planning. The Community Relations Specialist maintains and projects Origami’s professional image, increases community awareness of Origami’s programs and services and assists with the execution of brand messaging by engaging the community through marketing, social media tools, email marketing, media relations, and coordination of special events.
The Community Relations Specialist networks through various channels and venues to elevate Origami’s presence in the community , including the rehabilitation and healthcare industry , on a local and statewide level. The Community Relations Specialist is responsible for cultivating relationships with external providers and referral sources through prompt responses, high-level knowledge of Origami’s unique characteristics , and thorough and accurate communications, which support Origami’s strong reputation; this communication must be effective, timely, inclusive, and reflective of Origami’s mission, vision, and values.

Essential Duties:
+ Articulate Origami’s mission, vision, core values, company culture, philosophy, programs, and services clearly to external stakeholders.
+ Effectively manage company resources regarding expenses and time management and maintain proactive communications with supervisor related to activities, locations, and scheduled offsite activities.
+ Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive or controversial subjects with tact, kindness, and professionalism.
+ Establish and maintain a positive relationship with internal and external stakeholders including business and community leaders, referral sources, donors, and other stakeholders.
+ Professionally and positively represent Origami internally and in the community, including marketing and outreach opportunities, during facility tours, while delivering presentations, etc.
+ Effectively communicate through cold calls, phone and electronic methods, luncheons, in-services, and other approaches to maximize awareness of programs and services, leading to increased outpatient and residential referrals.
+ Educate community members, referral sources, potential donors, and others about Origami programs, services, mission, and needs.
+ Identify and attend community events, conferences, showcases, networking events as a representative of Origami.
+ Assist in managing the organization’s online brand consistency and presence through various platforms including, but not limited to, Origami’s website, social media networks, newsletters, and email communications to stakeholders.
+ Implement strategic initiatives designed to represent the organization favorably and make positive contributions to the community.
+ Nurture relationships between the organization and employees through strategies designed to promote positivity and inclusiveness.
+ Produce and distribute media releases and marketing information packets.
+ Assist with content creation across various platforms, including social media posts, articles, blogs, earned media submissions, and copy for marketing materials, ensuring consistent brand messaging and engagement.

Preferences:
+ Bachelor's degree in marketing , communications, or public relations.
+ Minimum of one to three years related experience and/or training in healthcare and/or rehabilitation .
+ Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite products, PremierPro, and other graphic design tools such as Canva.
+ Experience with online marketing platforms such as Constant Contact.
+ Experience in managing social media sites, tools, and scheduling platforms.
+ Knowledge or experience in implementing SEO strategies for website content, along with Google Analytics and Google Ads certification.
+ Experience running advertisement campaigns through social media platforms.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop kneel or crawl. Reasonable accommodations are acceptable if they accomplish the necessary essential skills. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
