Job Summary The overall purpose of this job is to leverage the resources within and outside of the Educational Alliance network to provide “whole child’ services to all the students attending the partner school. As the Community School Director, you will oversee the operations of community schools and ensure the effective delivery of educational programs, promoting student development and growth and preparation for college and careers. Key Responsibilities + Manage and supervise the staff of community schools to ensure the smooth running of daily operations. + Develop and implement educational programs that align with our mission and goals. + Monitor the quality of education provided in community schools and implement improvements as needed. + Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community stakeholders to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. + Ensure compliance with relevant education regulations and standards. + Manage the budget and financial resources of community schools. + Develop and maintain partnerships with other organizations and stakeholders to enhance the resources and opportunities available to community schools. Required and Preferred Qualifications + Bachelor’s Degree required. + 3-5 years of experience in youth development and/or social work. + Knowledge of educational theories, teaching methodologies, and curriculum development. + Ability to analyze educational data and use it to inform decision-making. + Familiarity with education policies, regulations, and standards. + Ability to create relationships of trust with multiple stakeholders + Being organized with sufficient attention to detail Other essential requirements of this role require: + The ability to sit for prolonged periods of time. + The ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders over the phone and/or office applications. + The use of various types of vision, including but not limited to close vision, distance vision, and color differentiation. + The ability to work in a moderately noisy environment commonly found in business offices, such as sounds from computers and printers, as well as light traffic.
