The Opportunity

Employment Type: Permanent Part Time     0.4 FTE     Hours of Work:Friday & Saturday 2300-0700 hrs      
Wages:$17.13-$23.00

Community Service Workers are required to provide physical, emotional, and/or behavioural support to persons with developmental disabilities in all areas of daily living, recreation/leisure activities and community inclusion. Client support includes personal care, lifting and transferring, behavioural intervention, assistance with meal preparation, and housekeeping activities.

* previous experience supporting persons with disabilities
* behavioural experience and ability to implement behavioural programs
* personal care experience and /or education
* previous community inclusion experience and knowledge of community resources
* strong verbal and written communication skills
* computer skills required
* ability to perform lifts and transfers per job requirements

Requirements:

Valid First Aid and CPR CertificationA current and clear Criminal Records Check Form and if applicable a Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained no more than 90 calendar days prior to the hire date.A tuberculosis screening that has been completed no more than 12 months prior to the hire date.
