We’re looking for a Community Wellbeing and Engagement Practitioner to join our dedicated team in Accrington. In this role, you'll assess and support individuals, ensuring they receive the right interventions at the right time to support them in engaging through the early stages of their treatment journey.
ResponsibilitiesWhat You’ll Do:
Deliver Holistic Support: Use psychosocial interventions to engage with those accessing treatment to reduce harm, and encourage positive change.Comprehensive Care: Conduct thorough assessments, recovery planning, and make essential referrals to ensure each person receives the support they need.Community Well-being: Work towards reducing drug and alcohol-related harm for both individuals and the wider community.Inclusive Engagement: Involve carers, service users, and the community, making sure every voice is heard.Advocate for Change: Help those on your caseload to access vital partnership services.Empower Lives: Support social reintegration, promote resilience, peer support, and self-determination.
About You:
Empathetic & Understanding: You have a deep understanding of substance misuse issues and experience in similar fields.Strong Communicator: You excel in both verbal and written communication, with strong IT skills.Self-Motivated & Organised: You can manage your time effectively, prioritise tasks, and work independently.Knowledgeable & Resourceful: You have a solid understanding of mental health services and interventions.Team-Oriented: You thrive in a team setting, collaborating effectively with professionals and stakeholders.Adaptable: You’re comfortable with change and always put the needs of our service users first.Committed to Excellence: You understand the importance of information governance and are dedicated to maintaining high standards.
