Compensation, Rewards & Recognition Manager

Red River is seeking a Compensation, Rewards & Recognition Manager to join our Total Rewards and HR Operations team. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with an understanding of compensation best practices and a passion for creating engaging employee experiences. They possess exceptional analytical skills and are comfortable working with ambiguity and making informed decisions with limited data. They possess a proactive mindset, actively seeking out information and resources to fill knowledge gaps. Additionally, they are effective communicators who can build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

The Compensation, Rewards & Recognition Manager would own our compensation, rewards and recognition programs, Orientation, and offboarding programs and experience. They would be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive programs that align with Red River’s strategic objectives. The Compensation, Rewards & Recognition Manager would be responsible for mentoring a direct report and working closely with other members of the Total Rewards and HR Operations team to achieve results.

This is an in-person role based in our Chantilly office, offering a flexible work arrangement with 2 days of remote work per week following an orientation period. We believe that fostering a strong team culture and collaborative environment is essential for success, and in-person interactions play a crucial role in achieving these goals.

Primary Position Tasks:

Design and implement effective rewards and recognition programs aligned with Red River’s strategic goals.Maintain and enhance compensation structure and program, including conducting job evaluations, developing job descriptions, and ensuring compliance with all relevant compensation laws and regulations.Oversee the day-to-day operations of compensation, rewards and recognition, onboarding and offboarding programs.Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers related to compensation, rewards & recognition, and onboarding programs.Manage and mentor HR Coordinator.Own the HR-associated aspects of Red River onboarding, required paperwork and actions, including Form I-9 and background check requirements, and Adverse Action process alongside HR Coordinator.Develops project plan, communication timeline, and executes related projects (i.e., performance review and merit increase processes, rewards & recognition system implementation), working with and holding team members accountable to meet timelines and milestones.Develops and executes communication plan to support project efforts (i.e., email, PowerPoint, live presentation)Fosters and maintains good relationships with HR colleagues to ensure that processes are maintained and supported following project completion.Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.2 - 5 years of Compensation, Rewards & Recognition, or HR Generalist experience.Experience with market compensation data and systems.

Preferred Education/Certification/Experience:

Experience completing onboarding and offboarding processesCompensation certification

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong understanding of compensation, rewards & recognition principles.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Flexibility.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to quickly learn systems and processes.
