Compensation Analyst
AutoZone is seeking a dedicated Compensation Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of job requirements and will evaluate positions to ensure the company remains competitive. This position involves benchmarking job positions and collaborating with business units to design, implement, and manage compensation plans that align with our business strategies and objectives. Key Responsibilities: Interview and survey individual contributors and managers to gather and document job information Assess jobs to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary ranges Benchmark positions against survey data and market intelligence to establish competitive compensation ranges Prepare and maintain job classifications and salary scales Prepare and present summary reports of job and compensation analysis Gather and analyze data from market-based compensation surveys Evaluate and implement job analysis tools and materials Conduct data and cost analyses for negotiations Research compensation and benefits in similar industries and recommend updates Communicate best practices for hiring, training, and compensating employees Advise management on employment regulations, benefits, and compensation policies Perform cost analyses for compensation programs and ensure compliance with pay policies Contribute to the development and implementation of compensation communication and training materials Collaborate with Operations and Commercial Operations to analyze incentives Functional Competencies: Proficient command of Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint Experience with BI and SAS (Statistical Analysis Software) skills highly preferred Ability to develop and deliver oral and written communications to management and other employee populations Experience with Hay position evaluation method preferred Experience with PeopleSoft HRMS, Taleo, and/or Oracle preferred Familiarity with handling large data sets and consolidating and analyzing them efficiently Experience with at least one company that has 50,000 employees or more preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or equivalent (Master's or MBA preferred) 1-3 years of relevant work experience CCP preferred but not required Join AutoZone and be part of a team that values your expertise and commitment to excellence.
