Compensation Analyst

D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Compensation Analyst. The right candidate will assist in building the Compensation function to be a proactive business partner and resource to all business units. The role will research job requirements and evaluate job positions to assist management in addressing compensation ranges to be competitive in the area of employee compensation and will assist in the maintenance of a catalog of accurate Job Descriptions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Perform accurate research to make informed recommendations regarding employee compensationProvide regular reporting to the field on compensation trends and metricsRegularly benchmark current job positions to ensure alignment with market, advising management when discrepancies are foundManage the Annual Merit Increase process by providing reporting and importing approved increases into PeopleSoftPerform minimum wage audits to ensure compliance with state/county/city minimum wage requirements.Research special compensation programs or incentive systems to support the organization's objectivesAnalyze compensation package trends to ensure industry competitiveness and employee retentionReview proposed salary actions to ensure conformance and compliance with established guidelines, policies, and regulationsGenerate and create reports maintaining accurate information relating to compensation in HRISReview proposals for new or revised job descriptions to determine Essential Job functions, Minimum Required Qualifications, FLSA status and appropriate salary rangeMaintain and audit HRIS system to ensure accuracy of JobCode/FLSA dataPrepares and maintains a job description for each position in the organization; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbentsTransition current Job Description catalog to new document formatParticipate in salary surveys and analyze results to determine organization's market relationshipUpdate quarterly Turnover ReportReview and maintain knowledge of company structure Remain current on industry trends and regulatory requirements including FLSA and other state wage and hour lawsConducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyRegular, reliable, and full attendanceMeet tight deadlinesWork long hoursProduce work product in a high stress environment

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in a related field from a four-year college or universityFive to seven years related Compensation experience Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretionUnderstand Internal Audit requirement with regards to compensation changesAdvanced Excel skillsPossess exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsAbility to focus under pressure and comfortable meeting tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applicationsProficiency with MS Office and emailAbility to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral visionThe noise level is generally moderate

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Payscale/Payfactors, CompAnalyst compensation tools a plusAbility to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently to balance competing deadlinesExperience working in the construction and mortgage industry a plus
