Compensation Analyst
Description Robert Half is seeking a results-driven Compensation Analyst to join a fast-paced organization in the technology industry. In this role, you'll support critical functions such as analyzing and administering compensation programs, ensuring competitive pay structures, and driving employee retention through thoughtful rewards strategies. Key Responsibilities + Compensation Analysis: Conduct compensation surveys and benchmark data to ensure the company’s pay practices remain competitive within the industry. + Job Evaluation: Evaluate and create job descriptions, analyze roles, and assign appropriate salary grades or compensation levels. + Data Integrity: Maintain and update employee compensation data in HR systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and policies. + Pay Audits: Perform regular audits of compensation programs to identify discrepancies and recommend adjustments that align with budget and market demands. + Compliance: Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local wage-and-hour regulations (e.g., FLSA, pay equity). + Collaborative Support: Partner with HR and department leaders to advise on pay-related decisions during promotions, transfers, or new hires. + Reporting and Metrics: Generate compensation reports and provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making. Requirements + Experience: 2–3 years of experience in compensation, HR, or related data analysis roles. + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. + Tech Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills such as VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.) and familiarity with HRIS or compensation management tools (e.g., Workday, PayScale). + Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets. + Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills. + Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with key stakeholders. Preferred but Not Required: + Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification is highly desirable. + Experience in [insert specific industry, e.g., technology or non-profit] is a plus.
