Compensation Analyst III

Responsibilities What You'll Do: The Compensation Analyst III is responsible for administering compensation programs, consulting with teams across the organization on their compensation needs, and partnering with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition to support talent attraction and retention solutions. The Compensation Analyst III contributes to the planning, development, and implementation of new and revised compensation programs, policies, and procedures to align the organization's goals with market competitive practices. This position is also responsible for ensuring that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations. Key Responsibilities: Compensation Program Management and Collaboration: Serves as a compensation partner. Provides expert advice and guidance on compensation-related matters, including job evaluations, base pay development, salary structure, promotion requests, incentive plans, pay equity and compliance. Participates in the development, implementation, administration, and continual improvement of the compensation program for V2X and its business units. Stay current on compensation trends and best practices that will improve service delivery. Bring forth ideas to improve compensation program design, process and/or outcomes. Based on internal needs and external trends, assist in developing new or modified compensation programs necessary to meet company objectives and to stay competitive in the industry. Collaborates with HR Business Partners and leaders to understand the compensation needs and organizational priorities for their teams or contracts. Assists in year-end compensation planning. Supports the administration of annual compensation processes such as merit increases, bonus modeling, process/approvals, and plan eligibility. May provide support in maintaining UKG Pro or other related Human Resource Information Systems. Items that support may be required in are the administration of compensation programs such as bonus payments; job code creation; merit and incentive plan eligibility; enterprise reports; and audit assistance. Provides compensation support for cross-functional projects related to compensation. Leads the creation of compensation procedures and training materials. Ensures updates are timely incorporated. Market Research, Job Evaluation and Benchmarking: Benchmarks jobs using survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position. Supports the development and updates to salary ranges, job codes, salary structure, etc. Serves as a trusted advisor to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and other internal teams on the job analysis and market pricing of new and existing positions. Provides recommendations on appropriate salary ranges and pay strategies for roles analyzed. Participates in pay equity reviews by conducting analysis, investigates requests/cases, and provides recommendations. Oversees the participation in salary surveys and monitors salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved. Functions as the key survey contact for assigned surveys. Functional Compensation Lead for the Business Development team: Oversees and provides labor rates for assigned proposals. Reviews Request for Proposals (RFPs) to determine general and specific labor cost requirements. Liaise with the Pricing team to ensure alignment with the company's business development strategies. Ensures labor rates provided comply with all requirements under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the employment labor laws of the worksite location (i.e. city, state, province, and/or country.) Responds to Evaluation Notices (EN) and Final Proposal Revision (FPR) inquiries, as required. Maintains detailed records and files of labor rate development for Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) audits. May collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data, participate in labor pricing strategies, and produce compliant proposals. Compliance and Audit: Ensures compliance with country, federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations. Leads and manages pay transparency compliance. Participates in job description audits to ensure that documented responsibilities and minimum requirements are accurate. Assists with audits from internal Business Advisory teams and external agencies such as the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), Department of Labor (DOL), Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), etc. Mentorship and Leadership: Provides guidance and counsel to other compensation team members as required. Serves as a training lead on V2X compensation processes, practices, and programs. Supports compensation with other assignments and projects, as required. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained may be substituted, if degree is required. Experience: Minimum of six (6+) years' Compensation experience. Understanding and application of federal and state regulations related to compensation, including FLSA, pay equity/discrimination, pay transparency, and other relevant laws. Other Requirements: United States citizenship required. May work extended hours as needed. Desired Qualifications: Certifications/Licenses: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification a plus. Experience: Minimum of four (4+) years' Compensation experience in a federal contracting environment preferred. Working knowledge of FAR/DFAR, CAS, DCMA/DCAA, and basic proposal pricing methodologies desired. PayFactors and UKG Pro experience desired. Global mobility experience a plus. Skilled in identifying and diagnosing problems related to compensation administration or compliance issues, including crafting effective solutions to address compensation-related challenges. Business/Human Resources Acumen: Possesses thorough knowledge of human resource laws, regulations and best practices. A strong foundation of technical understanding in compensation concepts, procedures, and practices. Understanding of regulatory requirements and legal implications related to compensation. Ability to ensure the company’s compensation programs comply with country, federal, state, and local laws. Possesses awareness of and sensitivity to the diverse needs of a global workforce, including understanding cultural differences in pay expectations and requirements. Functionally skilled with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically with Excel. Advanced level of knowledge a plus. Demonstrates the highest degree of safeguarding confidential, sensitive, business, and employee data. Experience with compensation in HRIS systems preferred. Business Partner/Effective Communication: Strong communicator, both orally and in writing with ability to articulate complex issues concisely. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be based on, but not limited to, their job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company. USD $ 85,000 - 120,000 Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional/geographic locations across the United States.
