Compensation and Benefits Specialist
Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced Compensation and Benefits Specialist to join our team on a 3-month contract. Reporting directly to the Compensation & Performance Sr. Manager, this individual will provide critical support in managing compensation, benefits administration, vendor relations, and compliance, ensuring continuity during this period. If the candidate performs exceptionally, we are open to converting the role to a permanent position. Responsibilities: * Administer and manage all employee benefits programs, including health insurance, life insurance, 401(k), and retirement trust accounts. * Handle vendor relationships, including third-party administrators, ensuring timely resolution of claims and billing inquiries. * Provide expertise in compensation planning and administration, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. * Support tasks related to GovCon compliance, including union requirements and Davis-Bacon Act mandates. * Ensure seamless benefits administration. * Utilize UKG and other systems to process and manage benefits-related data while maintaining flexibility to adapt to other tools or processes. * Coordinate with the team to ensure timely payment and reconciliation of trust accounts and retirement contributions. * Assist in vendor evaluations and contract negotiations as needed. Skills and Requirements * Minimum of 5 years of compensation and benefits experience (8--10 years without a degree). * Demonstrated experience managing claims, billing, and vendor relations. * Familiarity with GovCon industry standards and requirements, including union and Davis-Bacon compliance. * Experience with UKG or similar HR systems is preferred. * Strong knowledge of benefits administration, including health insurance, life insurance, and retirement plans. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
