Compensation Director Ethos Veterinary Health

Position Summary:

The Compensation Director is responsible for leading the development, implementation, evaluation and administration of compensation strategies and programs.   This role ensures that the organization's compensation practices are competitive, equitable, and aligned with business objectives. The Compensation Director will provide strategic direction on compensation initiatives, manage compensation analyses, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:


Compensation Strategy Development

Develop and implement comprehensive compensation strategies that align with the company’s business goals and objectives.Conduct market analysis to ensure competitive positioning of compensation programs.Implement and enhance solutions, guidelines and governance processes related to compensation.Partner with key stakeholders and VP HR to establish short – medium - and long-term compensation strategies and recommend technology and other solutions to drive efficiency.

Program Design and Administration

Partner with key stakeholders to drive and execute key initiatives such as job architecture and pay frameworks, incentive plans, and executive compensation programs.Oversee the administration of merit increases, bonuses, and other incentive programs.Ensure the effectiveness of compensation programs by conducting regular reviews and updates.Stay current with compensation trends and ensure all compensation programs comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

Analysis and Reporting

Conduct detailed compensation analyses and prepare reports to support decision-making.Provide regular reporting on compensation metrics and trends to senior management.Support mandatory data collection reporting such as mandatory EEOC reporting, FLSA audits, and legal requests.

Collaboration & Leadership:

Partner with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Operations, and other departments to address compensation-related issues.Serve as a compensation subject matter expert to management and staff.Lead and mentor the compensation team, providing guidance and professional development.


Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation is a plus.Minimum of 10+ years of experience in compensation management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Extensive knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and regulations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.Excellent communication, and stakeholder management skills including experience working with Executive leadership.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000-$180,000. Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
