Camping World & Good Sam is seeking a collaborative, growth-oriented Manager of Compensation to join our total rewards team. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of the design, implementation and administration of the overall compensation infrastructure to deliver our total rewards strategy and objectives. This position will be located in Lincolnshire or Chicago Office, hybrid schedule 3 days onsite.
What You'll Do:
Managing, designing, planning, and implementing a robust infrastructure around compensation for the entire company that is scalable for growth
Partner with business leaders to assess current state and provide guidance on the company’s broad based compensation strategies and structure.
Provide thought leadership by staying on top of industry best practices, benchmarks, and the latest compensation approaches
Lead the compensation team to manage comp related transactions, business processes and activities in the HCM system
Lead annual merit and bonus cycle processing in the HCM system
Partner with Finance on salary planning process for merit, market pay adjustments, bonus and promotional pay changes
Collect and analyze industry compensation data and conduct market analysis for pay structure set up in the HCM system and develop regular cadence to evaluate, maintain and update foundational data such as job classifications, job levels, salary ranges and geo differentials
Partner with Talent Acquisition team to ensure recruiters have the necessary information and tools to review and extend offers to candidates
Partner with business units other than sales, service & retail as the primary lead in planning, developing, communicating and administering variable and incentive pay plans
Consult as a subject matter expert to ensure compensation recommendations are aligned and relevant to both the market and internal equity.
Promote an understanding of compensation philosophy, practices, and administration across all levels of the organization. Lead the compensation team to develop compensation programs, policies, plans and processes

Experience working for a publicly-traded company
Bachelor's degree and/or minimum 10 years’ experience in base pay, commissions, short-term and long-term incentives, job evaluations, benchmarking and market analysis; retail or dealership industry experience preferred
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), preferred
Extensive knowledge of compensation practices and theory including experience in compensation program design and project management
Advanced competency in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Power Point) and an HRIS system
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
Up to 10% travel may be required

The pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Camping World, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors stated. A reasonable estimate of the current range is listed below.

Pay Range:
