What's the role?

The role of Total Rewards Compensation Manager is responsible for the team managing the compensation and bonus structure for Hilti North America. The manager plans, develops, and implements new and revised compensation programs, policies, and procedures to be responsive to company goals and competitive practices. This position is also responsible for ensuring through audits, legal reports, and personal interactions, that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations from a local and global perspective

What does the role involve?

Hire, manage, and develop a team of compensation professionals responsible for the execution and administration of all compensation processes within Hilti North America (HNA) Oversee all compensation-related projects including, but not limited to, internal and external market competitiveness, variable pay design including implementation and modeling, job evaluations, financial accuracy with bonus accruals and payout, compensation surveys, etc. Partner as a business resource to provide strategic planning and ensure consistency to all levels of the organization regarding compensation topics including Human Resources, Managers, Directors and Executive Management Team Own Compensation Committee topics including, but not limited to, presentation content, pre-read, and follow-ups to ensure accurate, innovative and clear content. Ability to respond to business needs quickly and efficiently gaining buy-in from various stakeholders in the business Ensure compensation procedures are up to date, accessible, and utilized by all HR stakeholders Oversees and ensures compensation plan changes and processes are 100% accurate in the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) Align with global compensation community ensuring global processes are followed and in place within HNA Enhance communication regarding Hilti’s position in the compensation market and pay for performance communications Keep apprised of all federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations ensuring company compliance Budget responsibility of compensation Additional duties, as assigned

What you need is:

Bachelor’s degree required, focus in Human Resources and Compensation including but not limited to Sales Compensation, preferred Minimum three (3) to five (5) years’ compensation experience, required: Prior supervisory experience, preferred Professional Human Resources Certification (PHR, SPHR, CCP, ACCP, CSCP), preferred Knowledge of and ability to apply federal, state/provincial and local employment laws Demonstrated application of critical analytical and creative thinking skills, required Demonstrated project management ability, required Ability to build and interpret complex financial models projecting cost of variable compensation plans Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, required; experience presenting to senior management and executives Strong conceptual thinking skills and the ability to utilize creative and innovative approaches in problem solving Intermediate to advanced level Excel and PowerPoint skills, required Ability to build efficiency and optimization using data and metrics
