Description:We are seeking an experienced Compensation Specialist Staff to join the Corporate Broadbased Compensation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in market research, compensation model development, and cost forecasting. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills who can provide insights and solutions to ensure our compensation structures are competitive, sustainable, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze market data, conduct comprehensive market research and benchmarking to stay informed about industry compensation trends.
• Develop and implement competitive compensation models that align with business objectives and market trends.
• Collaborate with HR and leadership teams to design and implement equitable pay practices that drive business outcomes.
• Create compensation forecasts to assess the financial implications of proposed salary adjustments or new compensation programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing compensation programs.
• Maintain up-to-date salary structures, job grades, and pay scales that reflect market dynamics and internal equity.
• Communicate compensation programs and changes effectively across the organization, ensuring transparency and understanding.
• Tell the story behind compensation data, using insights and analytics to inform business decisions, identify trends, and drive strategic conversations with stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience in compensation analysis, market research, and model development.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
• Experience with compensation survey platforms (e.g., Mercer, Radford).
• Strong understanding of labor laws, compliance regulations, and compensation frameworks.
Desired Skills:
• Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $105,000 - $197,800. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $91,300 - $175,000. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
