As an emerging manufacturing technology, Additive Manufacturing (AM, 3D printing) is rapidly becoming more mature and available. In ASML’s products, AM is an enabler to meet increasing requirements (throughput / overlay / critical dimension) for our customers and reduce costs in our supply chain.

To manage this, in our Development & Engineering (D&E) sector we have a vacancy for an Additive Manufacturing competence owner. In this role you will be part of the Mechanical Development EUV Precision Motion & Dynamics department.
Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a competence owner, primarily you will be accountable for the management and development of our AM competence,
define AM roadmap supporting ASML’s product and technology roadmap
developing the AM competence to comply with our product and technology roadmap
anticipating on emerging AM technologies and create enablers for our product roadmap
support our design teams in applying AM by providing design rules
support our design teams with knowledge during the design trajectory
provide AM training material for our design community
set up a community of practice
Furthermore you will be responsible for:
acting as the escalation channel when standards are not followed
closely collaborating with our Strategic Sourcing & Procurement department as an AM category co-chair in defining the AM strategy, scouting suppliers / emerging technologies, representing D&E in AM supplier selections;
managing the AM competence lead which is responsible for the technical content, knowledge development, means & methods, and tooling;
closely cooperating with competence mirrors (who are the local delegates of the competence lead in a geographically different part of the world).
Bachelor or master degree in a technical field
5 years of competence - leadership experience in a AM product development - manufacturing setting
Experience in precision engineering
Experience in a complex working environment
Experience in managing projects from an engineering perspective, working closely together with suppliers and sourcing
