This position requires someone who works hard, is passionate about cycling, uses the gear we sell, and is self-motivated, proactive, and driven to excellence. In brief, you’ll build a business and establish long-term customer relationships through consistent, authentic, and personalized communication. You’ll make over 80 contacts a day to discuss new orders, ensure the proper delivery of shipments, and develop new/maintain existing customer relationships. You’ll build your persona both on and off-site, through event promotion, networking, community events, trip reports, product reviews, etc. To ensure our customers experience premium service, we hire the best and brightest people possible and expect them to work at a very focused and rapid pace. This role is challenging – above and beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, you’ll have a big role within a fast-paced team. This position will report into the Supervisor, Competitive Cyclist Expert Gearheads (GHX)
Schedule: 40 hours per week. Your schedule will be determined by your individual performance for the prior month. If you meet the requirements, you will be able to work on your own schedule within the guidelines and GHX/Expert Gearhead business hours (7am-8pm MST, Mon-Fri), if you do not meet the requirements for the month, you will be put on a set schedule based on business needs during those business hours. What you get to do every day: Perform over 80 contacts each day to new and existing customers in your book in a contact center environment Build and manage your customer book of business to 3,000+ customers and ensure every customer is being handled with tremendous service and prompt follow-through Maintain authentic and genuine communication, leverage your personality to connect with customers in a meaningful way Assist the customers of other Gearheads who may be out of the office or assisting other customers Research to find ideal product for customers unique needs, explain to customers the concepts, benefits and specifications of the gear we sell Participate in ongoing procedural and product training sessions to ensure your gear, sales, and system knowledge is second to none. Provide customer feedback to internal parties so Backcountry / Competitive Cyclist can continually improve the customer experience Champion Backcountry / Competitive Cyclist core values through your actions May be asked to answer inbound calls during times of high volume What you bring to the role: In depth knowledge of cycling product and a passion for riding Minimum 2 years of bike industry experience (required) Deep knowledge of component compatibility on both road and mountain bikes (required) Understanding of bike fit, bike builds, accessories, and soft goods (required) Sales or account management experience (preferred) Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with customers Ability to use active listening to identify customer needs, concerns, and complaints Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written required Able to work efficiently and effectively within multiple channels of inquiries Basic computer operating skills High School diploma or GED required What’s in it for you?
