Job Description

We are seeking an Entry Level Lab Technician to join our Complaint Investigations Lab. In this role, you will be responsible for unpacking and sorting returned products by product lines, investigating customer complaints regarding blood glucose meters, strips, and sensors, and documenting findings in the Complaint Handling System. You will use troubleshooting equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, test fixtures, and microscopes to complete investigations, perform routine maintenance on quality records, and ensure testing equipment is valid.

ResponsibilitiesUnpack and sort returned products by product lines.Investigate returned products to resolve customer complaints regarding blood glucose meters, strips, and sensors.Document complaint investigations in the Complaint Handling System.Use troubleshooting equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, test fixtures, and microscopes.Perform routine maintenance on individual quality records.Ensure equipment used for testing is within validity.Essential SkillsProficient computer skills to navigate Internet programs and basic Microsoft Office skills.Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.Good documentation skills.Good computer skills for data entry of investigation results.Ability to focus while performing repetitive and routine investigations.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in Medical Device/Biotech IndustryKnowledge of electronic troubleshooting is preferred.Ability to work in a team setting.Ability to follow written work instructions or SOPs.Great fit for workers with inspection and quality experience.Minimum education required is a high school diploma or equivalent (such as GED) with technical experience.An Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or other science may be considered.Recent college graduates with a Bachelor's degree are an ideal fit for this entry-level position.Work Environment

This position is onsite in Alameda, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The work hours are from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM. The role involves working with medical technologies for diabetes management, including continuous glucose monitoring systems and rapid diagnostic tests for infectious diseases.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
