The Complementary Intervention – Disaster Implementer Contractor will be responsible for:

Coordination of the development and implementation of the Disaster Response Plan for participant families and church partners. Facilitating appropriate response, reporting, and management of all interventions in the context of community violence and its implications on programs, including migration. Coordination of the strengthening actions at the FCP level to increase community resilience in the face of disasters. Writing proposals related to the disaster response and conducting implementation

Education

A Bachelor’s degree is required, with preference towards field-related like Administration, Accounting, Management, Education, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Health.

Skills & Competencies

At least 3 years of experience coordinating Disaster ResponseAn understanding of the national violence context as it relates to child and youth developmentAn understanding of available resources, networking, and other options within the local contextExcellent communication skills with an emphasis on technical writing.Ability to review/analyze information, data assessment, reach conclusions and make relevant decisions/recommendations for program effectivenessAbility to think programmatically and make recommendations/decisions based on programmatic knowledge and evidence based best practicesAbility to coordinate and facilitate discussions across multiple working groups, within the developmental mindset frameworkAbility to systematize FCP best practicesAbility to collaborate well both internally & externallyAbility to demonstrate servant leadership & live out Compassion’s Partnership Principles in supporting Frontline Church PartnersAbility to network and build partnerships with other ministries, government agencies & organizations for resource mobilizationAbility to represent Compassion on a professional levelAbility to communicate (verbal & written) in a clear and effective mannerAbility to drive a car; motorcycle is a plusFluent in French and English.
