Job Summary:
Provides complete and appropriate psychological evaluations for a wide variety of patients and their families. Collaborates with treating physician/psychiatric and allied health professional team to plan and direct each individual members treatment program. Provides brief, short term, solution-focused assessment and interventions geared toward optimal functioning. Utilizes a variety of evidenced-based treatment interventions and various treatment modalities including individual, family, marital, and group therapies. As part of an integrated care system, provides consultation to providers and develops a clear treatment plan for the care team to manage. Consults regarding medication questions and coordinates recommendations with care team. If needed, assists in engaging member in additional treatment. Performs a variety of preliminary and supportive behavioral health procedures within delegated guidelines and following established practices and procedures. Makes members/patients and their needs a primary focus of one's actions; develops and sustains productive member/patient relationships. Actively seeks information to understand member/patient circumstances, problems, expectations, and needs. Builds rapport and cooperative relationship with members/patients. Considers how actions or plans will affect members; responds quickly to meet member/patient needs and resolves problems. Provides clinical supervision to pre-doctoral psychology interns, postdoctoral psychology fellows, and other mental health trainees or medical residents as necessary.
Essential Responsibilities:

Ensures patient safety in the preparation and provisioning of care related to but not limited to medications including the consistent use of 5 rights and 3 checks of medication administration, procedures, infection prevention, fall prevention, including consistent use of two patient identifiers and procedural time outs.
Reports safety hazards, accidents and incidents, and unsafe working conditions promptly.
In addition to defined technical requirements, accountable for consistently demonstrating service behaviors and principles defined by the Kaiser Permanente Service Quality Credo, the KP Mission as well as specific departmental/organizational initiatives.
Also accountable for consistently demonstrating the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to provide superior and culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members, and to purchasers, contracted providers and vendors.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
Minimum two (2) years of psychotherapy and psychological assessment experience.
Education
Doctorate degree in psychology with completed clinical internship.
License, Certification, Registration
Psychologist License (Colorado)
National Provider Identifier required at hire
Additional Requirements:
Demonstrated customer service skills and the ability to understand Kaiser Permanente customer needs.
Demonstrated ability to function independently without direct clinical supervision.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills.
Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
